FINALS WEEK....DAMN YOU!

It is probably a good thing that finals week only happens twice a year. All the projects I have put off this semester are coming back to haunt me. It is 4:30 in the morning and just two hours ago I finished my minal project for my Journalism 2.0 class. Yay growing up and being responsible, or not.
I literally had about two and a half weeks to get this assignment done and I waited until the night before it is due to finish. Next semester, that is when I'll turn my ways around. Oh how that statement sounds familiar, possibly because I say it every semester when finals week rolls around.
Anyway now on to what you're reading this blog about, how I am procrastinating my next final. The final happens to be Spanish and I happen to be doing everything but. Just in case you were wondering it is April and yes I did spend many glorious minutes opening Christmas presents. Took the words right out of your mouth didn't I? Check out this website http://bit.ly/gQEHbc if your curiosity is peaked.
Probably saw one of the most creative/hilarious uses of toilet paper as a Stumbled around the internet tonight. I learned a beer prayer as well. Guess what I'll be doing at the bar this weekend? Uh......well...beer prayer, sorry that was a little anti-climactic.
Anyway, I guess I'll try and motivate myslef to study spanish now. Cough, aimlessly search the internet, cough cough. Heres the beer prayer, so now you can pray the beer gods have mercy on you and grant you a drunken....er....happy weekend.
P.S. sorry about the Canadian part at the end. You can just go ahead and leave that part out when you say the prayer.

One final down, two to go...

Today marks the completion of my first final and it feels like a giant weight has been lifted from my shoulders. At exactly 2:30 p.m. I walked out of my Comm. 101 class with my final test complete and paper turned in.

The logical choice would have been to head back to the room and continue studying for. Napping, however, seemed like a much better option. So I laid down for a nap at 3:00 and didn't wake up until 9. Talk about procrastination through nap.

Motivation levels are so low right now it's ridiculous. I am distracted by just about everything in an attempt to avoid school work. Before I began typing this post I was complete lost in a game of wall ball. Luckily, or unluckily, for me I wound a sweet red bouncy ball under the futon.

As A.D.D. as it may sound, there is just too much to be distracted by during finals week. I even went as far to waste time by purchasing my ticket home tonight. I've been putting that off for the better part of three months, what better time than the middle of finals week to get that done right?

Well I have to say good bye as that red bouncy ball is calling my name. Cheers for a sleepless night filled with reading and wall ball! Until my next post, keep your dirty eyes off my bouncy ball.

Hello Finals Week....

T-minus 18 hours until my final paper for Comm-101 is due and I have three of ten pages complete. My attention span is really kicking my ass right now.

It would appear that learning how to build the perfect paper airplane is far more important than passing this class is for me. Thank you stumbleupon.com.

Check out these sweet instructions for you paper airplane building pleasure. http://bit.ly/eubD5F The shuttle has to be one of the coolest paper airplanes I have ever seen.

Anyway, back to the not being able to write this paper. I have currently moved myself to Dunn Library to shield myself against the distractions at my fraternity house.

No luck here either. To tell you the truth I am currently procrastinating my paper/studying for the final tomorrow by writing this blog.

The question that pops into my head is, is this actually procrastination? I will pretend it is not for the sake of attempting to sound productive.

Well, with my conscience cleared from having completed something I must bid you farewell.

The End of Deadweek....

     Hello again blog readers. It's currently 3:15 a.m. and I can't sleep.

I have spent the previous week studying and preparing for finals week at Simpson College. In a perfect world this statement would be true, however, we don't.

That being said this previous week has proven to me that my attention span is slightly worse than that of a nat.

I have spent the past three nights at the Zoo observing animals. This may sound educational but, it is far from that.

When I say the Zoo I actually mean the bar down on the square and the word "animals" refers to the townies in the bar. These are an interesting bunch to say the least.

You haven't seen classy until you see a 250 pound woman in what appeared to be a tube top stretched into a dress. That image shall forever be burned into my brain.

I will say that getting shitfaced with a guy and then running into him with his wife and kids is quite hilarious.

On a slightly more sober note I did participate in a tie-dye exchange between my fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority on campus. I am now the proud owner of two pairs of tie-dye undies!

I bid you farewell, at least until the next time I find myself lost in space.

Vh1: 1, Keith:0

Hello blog readers. I have finally discovered what my blog topic should be, procrastination. It seems only fitting that I wait until the last few weeks of class to begin.

Just to update those reading, I have a test to study for tonight as well as a giant project for my Integrated Marketing Practicum. Anyway, that can wait as it is after 9:00 p.m. and there has to be some bad T.V. on somewhere.

Three channel changes and I found what i was looking for, that has to be a new record.

As I type I find myself distracted by Vh1's Countdown of the 40 Greatest One Hit Wonder's of the 90's. Damn you Vh1, how do you know about my addiction to bad television?

It's an amazing collection of songs from artists such as Vanilla Ice, Marcy Playground, and Los Del Rio. It is a list that makes me proud yet embarrassed to be a 90's baby. The songs that made the list are so bad they're good.

I would say that I have just one of these songs stuck in my head but, it seems they are all fighting for space in my head and none are winning. It's like a mega mix of 90's music in my head.

Well time to hit the books, so I'll leave you with this gem of a song from the 90's.

FIrst Time

Welcome to my blog. This post today is to get rid of the "blankness" of the page. I hope to find a topic to blog about soon and will post every Wednesday. Otherwise nothing new this week. Had to look up how to spell Wednesday before I could post this, it's amazing how simple things can make you feel so dumb.
